Enemies struggled to shoot past even rudimentary cover, while often failing to take advantage of it themselves. Most of the time a scoped M4 could carry out any job needed with the shotgun and whatever sniper rifle happened to be in that level taking care of the rest. It also made the low damage, infinite ammo pistol feel completely unnecessary. Ammo was never something I was concerned with, as you always had a squadmate nearby to give you literally hundreds of free rounds any time you were low. I killed hundreds of enemies by the time the game was over, mowing many of them down from behind little more than token cover. The game is highlighted as having more serious shooting elements than more arcady games like CoD and Battlefield, but it never really felt that way to me. Someone suggested MoH as a grounded shooter with a good story, but I walked away feeling completely the opposite. The first real one I played was Spec Ops: The Line on a friends recommendation, and its story was engaging enough to get me to try a few other games. I don't have much of a background in FPS. I found myself really unimpressed with the game. I'm curious if its considered a good game by the community.
